Any pics of install? Like where did you put the relay, etc

I haven't either at this time. I have only removed the OEM and replaced them with the Hella Supertones in the exact location. After I finish with the install I will upload pics on another post of mine.

FYI, I am going to attempt to install without the relay.

im building up to buy a platform and im torn between 2 a rhino rack mesh platform

dyvyru8y.jpg
or the pioneer platform
ehusesy8.jpg

Has anyone used either one of these?

I've not used either if this racks but I have a lot if experience with a Hannibal rack that looks very similar to the pioneer rack you posted. I would reccommend the pioneer because of the slats. It will be stronger for sure. Also, using M8 eyelets from FrontRunner (avail in USA), you can enjoy a great deal of flexibility in tie down points. Also, FrontRunner accessories should fit in those slots as well, such as HiLift brackets, spare tire mount, jerry can holders, etc....

Thanks man, I will probably go with the pioneer platform it will take a little longer to save up for it cause its $800 but you right about it being stronger and the accessories that can be added to it. Unless I can get the mesh platform for under $200 that may change my mind lol. I almost won one on an eBay auction but someone beat me out at the las second, it went for $90

Had a bit of a set back, ive been sick with a cold but I went this morning and got the bedliner to finish up my rig.

I went with rustoleum roll on bed liner, mainly because ive used the their spray on product and had awesome results.
However; ive never used the roll on before.

The prep ive done so far:
Sanded the shmidt out of the trim.

Prep to do:
Do some more sanding
Wash with dawn

Anyone one have any recommendations that have used a roll on bedliner?

My recommendation... don't do it. Extremely difficult to keep clean. I know it's cool to do among the off road crowd but not a good choice in my opinion.

I gotta be honest here and say that I initially wanted to just plastidip everything and ended up using the bedliner on the front bumper because everyplace I tried was out of black plastidip. I should have taken that as a sign to just leave it alone...but I didnt lol. So now ive sanded on my trim and the front bumper is finished and my truck looks pretty bad in its current state.
Your definitely right bedliner is a pain to clean, and carwashes will just eventually start to peel it off. Not to mention salt from the roads during winter will eat through it...at least it has on everything else ive bedlined.

None the less its a "dont turn back now" project and hopefully I will be happy with the outcome.

Thanks Montypower

I got most of the bedlining done today. I forgot to take before and after shots so I will just use a random before pic.

During the process...about 10 minutes into it this happens

dont waste your time on buying the application kit, the roller will crap out!

Right after I finished the first coat my wife texts me andasks if im finished and I ask why and she replies with did you not look at the radar there is a storm coming.

5 minutes later

So I had to stop and pray that what I just did didnt wash away lol. Lucky enough the bedliner held up well and survived unscathed.

So after a down poor that lasted an hour this is what I ended up with.

I gotta say im quite happy with the turn out...given the circumstances lol. Im gonna do a second coat and then im thinking about goi g over that with the spray on bedliner. None the less so far im happy

Thanks man, its funny cause when the weather report says 20% chance of rain we end up getting a massive storm yet when its 50% chance there wont be a cloud in sight lol.

Two things:
1. Looks quite good actually. Certainly passes the 10' test.

2. Rain forecasts aren't quite what you think. It's not a chance of rain, it's that that it WILL rain in about 20% if the area being covered in the forecast.
