New holland gas grill?

Has anyone used the small New holland gas grill. The one with the full cover drip pad? Do you still get smoke flavor? We tried putting a solid pan on our regular gas grill and did not get a grill flavor. I would like some input before I lay down $250 for a grill. Thank you very much.

I have not used the small New Holland (The Companion), I think it only has up to 5,000BTU's. Not really enough juice to sear. They look nice and sturdy, but....

In contrast the Stow'n'go from Force 10 (which I have not used either) is sold at West Marine and has 13,000BTU's sold for $130.00. I have not bought it yet but I am leaning towards it or a Magma.

What do you think?

The stow a n go does not have a grease container so the grease drips to the bottm. It is not self contained in that it has opening in the case for wind to put out the fire. The holland shuts up conpletely so wind should not affect it. I do not know any of this for sure. Just what I read from other forums.
