I'm extremely pleased to announce that the new Jurgens XT75 trailer will soon be on US shores!
The XT75, the smallest of the off-road trailers from the 60-year old company, has been redesigned to reduce weight, reduce cost, and increase value. What you end up with is a great off-road trailer, feature-packed and superbly priced.
It features Electric brakes AND a Howling Moon Rooftop tent!

The XT75 is an all-steel off-road trailer, made entirely in South Africa, home of overlanding. The trailer comes with the following features:
  • All-steel main box
  • Fiberglass nose-cone/tongue box to reduce weight
  • removeable jockey wheel
  • electric brakes
  • room for a 35" tire
  • spare wheel
  • half-rack for firewood or jerry cans
  • jerry can holders
  • The ability to run either a standard 2" coupler, or a multi-axis coupler

Access to the interior is gained through:
  • 1 side-door on the driver side
  • 1 full size rear door
  • the entire lid which hinges open

Optional accessories include:
  • fridge/freezer slide, which can accommodate up to an 80qt fridge/freezer
  • rear dual-slide drawer system to accommodate 6 Bundu Boxes, or a custom drawer system
  • propane tank holders

Here is the best news. While we are still finalizing specs, freight etc., we're hoping for a price of UNDER $6,500
THAT'S $6,500 FOR AN OFF-ROAD TRAILER WITH ELECTRIC BRAKES AND A PREMIER BRAND ROOFTOP TENT!!
Final price will be published early 2012, and is subject to change.

Dimensions for the XT75 are as follows:

Height (Overall) 59”
Length (Overall) 10ft from tongue to spare wheel
Width (Overall) 72
Ground Clearance 18” (with 33" tires)

Technical Information:

Tare Mass 880 lb (including rack, jerry can holders, spare, tongue box etc
Payload 800lb +
Box Volume 320 Gal
Nose Cone Volume 87 Gal
Brakes: Electric
Suspension: Alko Torsion Swing Arm (made in Germany)
Axle Capacity 2205 lb
Bolt pattern - matching bolt pattern in most common sizes available

We will have our first one in January, and then anticipate having trailer inventory arrive in April. We will have it on display at the Overland Expo, along with the trusty XT140. We also hope to have a few other gems to show. So in the meantime, excuse the crummy picture - I'll post some more up as soon as we have them or can photograph them.

Nice trailer... I still have a hard time with the term "Overlanding" LOL. I feel like a dork even saying it!

Then just call yourself an "off-road camper" like I do. I'm also a little uncomfortable with it. That, and being on an "Expedition". Some people do go on expeditions, but I just go off-road camping and like to take too much stuff with me. In South Africa we just call it, "going for a drive."

Hmmm, I'll have to keep this one in mind. Will it available sans roof top tent? I'm rather fond of my ARB and would need to figure out how to get my annex to work with this.

I'll happily drive to SC to pick it up & demo it at CFW! :ylsmoke:

Seriously this might be the overland trailer I have been looking for. Subscribed.

I'll keep it in mind next time we need some driving done:sombrero:
Please do stay in touch. I think this will be an exciting one!
