Is plexus available in stores or just online?

If you happen to have a boating supply store near you they typically carry it. I use it on the curtains on my boat and the soft top windows on the jeep. Good stuff but never thought to do the headlights with it.

Hmmmm. Good to know. Is that the same stuff you use on your glass bill?
I used to use in on my helmets and windscreens; my buddies used it on their aircraft canopies and screens ---- that's how I found out about it. In the old days you could only get it at an airfield.
I use it now on anything plastic. It's gentle but slippery.

I'm sold on that crap I put on the windshield too. http://www.aquapel.com/ Still working. Too bad it can't go on the headlights...

that's the stuff, Im going to give both of it a try. Rain x was the only stuff you could get locally so that's all I ever used. On anything plastic/glass. worked great for me. but I am going to give this other stuff a try.

Jason is sending me an pair of Model 8700 Evolution 2.2 headlights to test. He says that they won't have the delay when transitioning from highbeam to lowbeam.

Seriously? I like my headlights but I'll have to say it kinda makes me ill that they have already redesigned them to fix an issue that should have never existed had they been properly tested. I'm glad everyone else from here out won't need to spend $120 to make the $750 headlight do what they're supposed to do but how about offering up a solution for those of us how were first onboard?

I don't follow any other forum so hopefully somewhere else there's mention that JW is standing behind their product and will be taking care of us...

I'll try to find out the plan ----- all he said so far was that he had a "set of lights that I would like for you to test that should fix the problem"...

I'll keep everybody posted.
Regardless, they are the benchmark to judge all the other 7" light products right now. And the technology is young, evolving fast ---- I give innovators like this a lot of slack. They're doing things in a very ethical way, keeping things legal, keeping things safe, and improving the breed.

Early adopters often pay a penalty. I don't really expect JWS to do anything for those of us who already have the 8700 Evo 2 installed and working perfectly via the SMS harness...except possibly cover them under warranty if anything goes wrong even though they were installed using a third-party harness.

That's my only worry. I realize that we have to purchase a harness in order to have the proper plugs but when it's not offered by the manufacturer will they warranty the light if there's an issue that was determined to be cause by the voltage supply.

They should have never been put to market without proper testing. They obviously didn't plug them in a JK with their own harness or they would have realized there was an issue. Even bench testing with their adapter harness would have revealed this.

Knot Knormal, have you tried the Truck lite anti flicker adapter on the evo's?

No, I had the adapters that came with my KC's so I tried them. It was a 5 second delay. Being that I had read others were having delays when using even the JWS adapters I went ahead and bought the relay harness. It's probably the best way to go in any situation but unfortunate that it was the only option.

I do really really like these headlights though. Even At double the price of competitors I'd still have to say they're worth the price. I wouldn't upgrade from your TL's if your happy with them but if you didn't already have them it would be worth the price IMO.
