New M416- Q's on RTT and need a Lunette

Hi-
just bought a 1966 M416 for my project and need a Lunette. anybody have one lying around they are not using?

also- couple of questions

1. pro's/con's of mounting a Simpson 3 on the roof of my avalanche vs the trailer?

2. how high does the RTT have to be off the ground to use the annex?

Cool. I need a lunette or one of those Max hitches.

To use the annex, the RTT can be any height, but it's better to have it higher than the tallest person using it.

Advantage to having it on the trailer vs trail rig?

For me:

1: Lower COG (center of gravity) on my rig


2: I wheel a lot of tight, wooded trails. Having a RTT on the rig, it would get damaged.

3: I have 2 Jeeps (CJ when it's just me, and the XJ when it's the family)

4: I love having the top off the CJ:wings:

$125-$185 that's 1/3 the price of the trailer I just bought

#1 reason to have the RTT on the trailer instead of vehcile IMO... so much easier to deploy/stow a tent on a trailer versus up high on a rig.
