Hey there's a lot of confusion in the tuner world when it comes to offsey too you know. I still can't figure out what width and offset to put on my little project car. :D

As for the 15" or 16", generally the 16's are cheaper for a p metric tire over an LT tire. The 285/75/16 is a 33" tire. If you want a 31" tire for a 16" wheel get 265/60/16. 32" is 265/65/16.

I'm in the same boat a you. I'm looking to get 16" wheels and tires

Agh see the tire size calculator made those two sizes almost spec the same. I'll see what they have in the 32" size.

I just emailed my contacts so I haven't ordered yet.

If you like the skinny tire look, which arguably does better both off-road (grip) and on-road (mpg), two common 16" sizes are 235/85 (~31.7") and 255/85 (~33.3").

black,
If you're planning on running 235/85s, you're going to want to go with a 16x6" or a 16x7" rim. 235/85 tires are quite narrow at 9.25" wide...so a 16x8" rim is too wide.

Many pics of this tire size here ---> link

235/85 on a Montero (16" Montero Sport rims) ---> link

ahhh damn. back to the drawing board. In that case would these wheels work? 16x7, 6x5.5, 4” backspace and 0 offset 108mm centerbore.

Talked to one of the members here with 6 - 265/75/16 BFG A/T KO's.

Going to run a 16x8 which is right inline and the spec's from BFG list it 7"-8" with a 10.5 width and a 31.8 diameter.

Perfect I hope. Working on the wheels right now.

My buddy owns a wheel company called Rotiform. Which is now owned by mht. So he ordered me 5 - fuel d558's in the anthracite/black.

Came out to same cost as 4 steelies from summit or procomp. while I don't love or really like the look particularly for the montero the price was impossible to pass up.

picked up 6 brand new 265/75/16 BFG A/T KO tonight from a member here. 4 of the 6 never mounted, 2 mounted as spares.

Helicopter skis?

Problem is, if you remove the helicopter skis, then you have to remove the tractor lifts, and if you remove the tractor lifts it's HIGHLY recommended that you add bracing to both forward ship sleds. It's a tough call, you know what I mean?
