One of my last jobs was to install a cb radio, it's long time since I use this devices and this time I bought also a Roe Metter to install it well, and to be honest the power transmission with the right length is much better, this radio I install can reach 15 watt if needed, I know is not legal and I will not use, but it's nice to have this possibility just dialing some buttons, I'm in process to explore this world, new for me, any suggestion would fine for me as a antena installing place, thanks in advance... At the beginning the roe was more than three on the 40 chanel and 2 on the 1 channel, at the end of the Dat cutting few centimeters the levels were a bit over 2 on 40 channel, and almost 1 on the 1 channel

some more info about the problem in one of my rear portals, this time was my fault, I was thinking on the quality of the seal but the seal was ok, today I remove the hub again and the seal and I discover the track is damage , I didnt pay atention enought when I replace days ago the seals, so mea culpa...as we say in Spain, Nothing to see whit the seal, I will use another new, because I have few of this type , for the track I have one spare whit a good shape , not new but still ok, you been right JoeblackView attachment 586531View attachment 586532

Last half month on hollidyas makes me think in solve the portal oil migration, first update was last year increase the oil capacity to 900 cc, the result is now the hubs runn much more cooler, but the oil migration is still happening because it's related whit the pressure, the ventilation output is located in the point where the pressure is high inside of the hub, and the oil level cups are on one point where the pressure is quite low, this is the reason why the vents We can buy, solve the problem, so for me the combo between oil capacity and vents is the way to go, after two years and 20 k km, for sure high speeds, 90 km/h on highways during hours its the main reason not helping, Another point I discover was to try a few types of oil on the hubs And I must say a bit lower viscosity reduces a lot the oil migration, but this is not the way for me because the pressure on the theets flanks is very high, the prove is the oil color when the capacity was 300 in each maintenance change, it was full degraded.. So I build in stainless steel some breathers to try the combo in next months.. The thanks are working well

Great idea, I did similar things on the front a long time ago, have not had any oil migration problems using either Castrol Syntrax 75W-90 or 80W-140.

Another thing that will give early warning of heat buildup from either impending failure or oil starvation is a temperature probe, down low like in the drain plug.

Last step on the vents was the rear axle, with the particular point, the vents on the rear axle are internal pipes to send the extra pressure to the axle, but there is the possibility to fit one external output if we use one of the bolts with one oil pass like on front, and we can use the maximum pressure point....

Hola Josst, I read about the portal reservoirs you did. had you produced It? I’m looking for a solution for the portal problems instead I drive several km a time…. Did It change the situation ? If yes are you able to sell the kit? I’m in Italy

Hi nice job, I’m very interest in this, but a question, how the oil in the tank go to the portal hub?? If It use only the hole (original drain hole) the oil under this hole what is for? thank for the help.

Hello Luca, the Big sproket on the hub works like a Pump, inside of the portal you have one area with presure and one area with blow, I use the three original holes to conect my tanks, with 8mm holes , the oil is circulating non stop, believe me, I did some test to control it and this is working like this inside of the portal, and this is the reason why the vents are always circulating the oil, this volume design its made for slow rotation, when you increase this speed there is a big presure by the oil bubbles on the portal and its the reason why oil migration happen, so one point its increase the oil capacity, and second is to keep the oil on the portals.
