New Nissan Patrol ... opinions?

Those "long way down" Patrols are excellent. I have already made a request to a Nissan dealer about the 4.2 L models and if we can get then in Europe. He thinks it is possible but it might take a couple of months.

Any further insight on the Patrols is greatly appreciated. What enhancements should I look into?

The GU is a very capable weapon, right out of the box.

Assuming it comes in a similair spec to Australia, you really should only need basic modifications, depending on your specific uses / area of operations. Normal basics of course apply:

Tires to suit conditions (optioned at the dealer from new to save $$$'s)
Tow bar and rated front recovery points

Optional extras are:
Bull bar (ARB Steel)
Winch
Front locker (the rear LSD is probably the best in the world)
Snorkel
Upgrade in suspension if carrying weight constantly

They really are a very good vehicle, and don't just assume they need everything changed to make them decent offroad. In stock standards form, they are probably one of the most capable standard vehicles.
