Congrats on the purchase, looks nice. I'm holding out hope the "little one" will hit our shores someday.

Excellent choice. I almost bought one when Yamaha was doing the $500 deposit, before they even landed in country, but I had something come up and couldn't justify the price.

Hey Martin, Great bike! I ran mine New York - Telegraph Creek, BC - New York back in July. You will love it.
Seat and rear spring is my next upgrade on it, but I am 230 pounds
Those altrider bars are excellent spare tire carriers if you don't want to clutter up the rear for long trips

It's really up to you...Sleep on it, there is no shortage although I know you want to get them on ASAP
I went through this, ended up getting HT Denali cliff cut. They are strong, take in lots of items, all flat surface - perfect for mounting extra gas, tool tubes, etc and have a narrow profile too, so if you don't do traffic - if altrider bars clear between the cars, denali cliff cut are also clear :bike_rider:
Do you plan on carrying extra fuel? If so then what brand: rotopax? blitz? where do you plan to mount them? Caribou and other side loaded plastic cases have the seam where the two halves of the case case comes together, so you'd need to locate flat surface on the case while maintaining narrow profile if that's your thing. Blits can be mounted to passenger pegs. Just plan it thoroughly, don't rush.

I live in Florida, so lane splitting is a no-go, but I don't want giant cases hanging out like sails. I also don't travel with the "Kitchen Sink" per se, but I do like to keep everything as organized and tidy as possible. With that being said I like the HT Teton's (9 1/2" cliff cuts), especially the space behind the right side mount to mount a Rotopax. I am also looking at Wolfman's rear rack and pillion rack, since I don't ride 2 up, the extra space for dry bags and / or Rotopax's are nice.

Of course the Caribou's have a certain robustness than only Pelican can provide, though the side opening poses a different set scenario's.

Adjustable windscreen and GPS mount

Piece by piece, bit by bit :bike_rider: So today I solved the "Where to mount my ole GPS" quandry. Went with a Madstad adjustable windscreen with the 1/2" crossbar. Easy peezy, just mount my gadget Guy base Plate II, and voila, problem solved.
