What are the specs on my 20" factory wheels? Is this info accurate:

20" x 8.5"
+44mm offset (6.2 inch backspacing)



I am hoping to just buy the wheels, because I think that BFG AT KO tires are junk

13mpg is very odd with a normal driving style and mixed highway/city. As was said earlier the taller tire will throw it off too. A good local ford dealership can program the truck for the raptor tire size which will work with any similar size tire, 34.5ish. that's my plan, run a winter set up of 285/65r20 BFG KO2 on stock 20s comes to about 34.5. I still need to find a dealership to adjust the computer. Other option is to buy a SCT or other tuner and adjust it yourself. Other than that its something wrong. 13mpg happens but by making it happen with your foot. Good luck figuring it out. I love my 2012 Fx4

275/55/20 = 31.9x10.8/20
275/65/20 = 34.1x10.8/20
315/70/17 = 34.4x12.4/17

Those are the second wheel types of the first gen raptor... the second gen Raptor isn't even out yet, it's a 2017 model.

There are three wheel types for the first gen, the almost all black/grey the Raptor debuted with, then the ones above, and finally the beadlock capable ones (they come with beauty rings, but can be converted to true beadlocks with a Ford kit). They all look pretty good in my opinion.

For some reason, the picture in D45's post wasn't working, but I see them now. What I meant was "1st gen, 2nd gen wheels" I didn't know about a 3rd. Good to know. I'm not a fan of the first iteration (pre-2014), though.

How much lift are you running?

Any rubbing at all?

Hey D45, sorry, that's just a picture I pulled off the net. I believe they fit fine with no rubbing, as long as you don't run wide tires. I'm assuming you're keeping the OD at 33"-34".

BFG KO's have worked real well for me. The new KO2's I'm running now are vast improvement. They performed really well over the winter.

Here is mine with OEM Raptor wheels on 35" general grabbers. These are 12.5" wide

Just a leveling kit for now. Going to coilvers and upper control arms in the next couple of weeks.

Those numbers look about right. So the computer is reading 31.9 over x amount of miles. While in reality its a 34.1 over x amount of miles. The more you drive the further off the amount of miles you actually drive vs the amount the computer reads. Every rotation you actually drive is more than the computer thinks. If you stay with 275/65r20 you can have ford adjust to that size by selecting from the OEM super duty sizes. If you go with the 315/70r17 then you can have ford select the OEM raptor size. Other than that you will just have to deal with the odometer being off, mpg computing lower, and speedometer reading a tad slower. Hope that helps.

I run 285/75R17 on Raptor wheels. They are 34.2". My speedo is spot on at 40-45mph. That's according to radar speed carts and my GPS.

I have a contentious theory though: all speedos are set, within legal limits (<3% fast) from the factory. The problem I see with this is, that by the time you get to the 36,000 limit of the factory warranty, you are in actuality around <34,020 miles (theoretically). A big difference? Nope. But it just might be the difference of us getting a repair done free -or not when we're near that special mileage number.

I have a 2012 and just put 2012 raptor take offs on mine. I have factory fender trim that I had to cut a little. NO lift yet. Only rub full left turn in reverse.

I use mobile 1 syn bought from sams club and a motorcraft filter. The case comes with 6 qts, exactly what a eb requires. Honestly, the easiest oil change of any vehicle I've owned. No measuring half or quarter quarts. People complain about reaching the filter, but I have no problems.
Driving in Dallas Fort Worth, I've settled on every 6000 miles.
Most ecoboost guys don't recommend going the full 10k between changes. Just an FYI if your interested.
