Was loading up the van to head off to South Dakota last week and was rushing to get out of Denver before the snow hit. Nothing like noticing the tread starting to separate from the carcass to make you say "Crap!"
Well, new tires were in the plan but not the immediate budget. Quick trip to Big O Tires (only local tire shop) and an hour later and I've got 4 new Falken WildPeak AT tires on the van.
Have to say, they handled the snow marvlously, especially in comparison to how the old off-brand MTs would have done.
And I didn't have to cough anything up out of pocket. 6 months same as cash. But if you miss a payment, a stupid 29% APR back to they day of install. :Wow1:
Could have saved probably $100 had I taken the time to drive 20 miles, but Mama said we gots ta go!
1000 miles down and zero problems. Good traction in the snow and quieter than MTs.
oh, and yes, I need to trim the fenders and bumper now too. they're 285/75R16 on an 03 Quigley
