I feel like there was just a Xoskel light cage on TNX. I originally wanted to go that route but the price dropping on 40" light bars and the stand alone mounts changed my mind. Welcome to the club man, enjoy it!

Ha! I'm not totally against them, and just that I can actually find a light bar instead of waiting around for someone to sell a cage means I might go that route eventually anyway. I guess Back to the Future has brainwashed me into thinking huge KC lights on the roof would be just the coolest looking **** ever.

Long time with no updates, but things are finally starting to proceed in the right direction. Went with the Cooper A/T3s after weighing them against BFG KO2s. Given I drive the X on paved roads 99% of the time, the modicum of extra capability and expense of the KO2s wasn't worth the road noise, worse MPG, and worse ride. Managed to find a little bit of time to test them out on the (very) short trails around my house and they acquitted themselves well. Lots of grip even in the water-soaked clay that I can't seem to get away from around here.
Anyway, time for the next mod. Not exactly sure where to go from here as I want some armor and to relocate the pare, but anything quality is expensive. Even still, it might be a new rear bumper. I can't stand having the spare on the undercarriage where it seems more open to the elements and other misgivings.
