so i am going to be purchasing a montero sr within a month or so. location is still in the air, but i would like some input on the trip back to denver from some of you.
so far, the possible city's are portland, phoenix, chicago, and bozeman. i want to make an adventure out of the trip back.
i love to hike and backpack and am a huge fan of the national parks. also love to four wheel.
portland has me thinking south to yosemite NP and a possible day or two at the rubicon, and or moab. or a northern route to come through yellowstone/grand teton NP's.
if i find one in the north washington area, ill make a trip to vancouver for the hell of it.
phoenix and any other south setting requires a trip through albequerque. but open otherwise. chicago, well, i got nothing.
so really, i guess im looking for the local only knowledge of good trips that arent that crazy. good scenery a must. stuff like take this road over that one cause it has this lake! or a certain mountain view.
i appreciate any help you can provide.
thanx, joe
