I spent some research time over at FordTruckEnthusiast, make sure you put the anti cavetation addative in the coolant in that one, evidentally not having it pits the cylinder walls from the water jacket inward. FYI.
You can come and do a 5.9 swap in my '97 when you get it dialed! That was the plan when I bought it, but the 7.3 is working fine so it'll stay for now. What part of Vic are you in?
Now I'm officially jealous! How big a deal was it to do? Auto or 5 speed? Which trans adapter did you use? Any idea on cost (for parts other than the 12v) and hours involved? This swap is on my list!
