FINALLY!! After years of searching...from AZ to the Midwest to Oregon and no joy...always a day late and a dollar short as they say...been using a 96 Starcraft Sportstar to get by ... but lo and behold...on my way to work (2 miles from the office and 10 miles from home)...what do I spy in a local mom and pop rv lot??? 2003 TC650EC excellent shape and best part... its now mine. Loaded with extended cabover (north/south bed), hot water heater, outdoor shower, fiberglass siding, gray water tank, half wrap, Coleman/Yakima roof bars...clean as a whistle AND extras: Happijac tiedown set, 5 step folding steps, Fiamma porta potti SCORE!!
Gotta go back and re-read all the TC650 mod threads....love this forum...from the 1st Baja trips in 07 with the FJ and a Venturcraft...to now with the Tundra and a Northstar!! YAY! pics will follow later

Went to pick up the TC...tailight pigtail too short by 18". went back early this morning with fabricated extension..nope:Wow1: left it with dealer to figure out mis-counted terminal sequence?? got a call from the rv mechanic(?) "there is no power to your truck trailer socket"..there is no fuse for that???(me) did ya check the #2 fuse box?" oh yeah! he says.....called me after lunch,,a) the truck is ready except b) none of the clearance lights are working, so 11 new clearance lights plus 1.5 hrs labor (@$75 /hr) labor to replace ..I think a burned wire ( i said PASS, i'll fix those). Oh yeah, how much do I owe you for adjusting the wire sequence...wait for it.....2.5 hours (remember the $75/hr?) for a whopping total of $187.50!!:Wow1: to move around 7 wires!!
The cashier let me take the truck home and said talk to the manager in the morning

So Im home and this thing is awesome..everything works...new Norcold 2 way 2.7 is down to 38 degrees...lights work..water works!!! almost slept in it instead of our bed...

PS where would I look to start sorting out the fact that NONE of the clearance lights will light?

Have a great night... pictures WILL follow

For the clearance lights put the top up and check for power were the wires run up to the roof I think that is near refrig. and the wires run down inside the refrig vent. did the seller install the refrig? what brand /year truck?? =brian

Ill work on the clearance lights tonight...cant believe a "burned" wire that didnt take out a fuse AND the need to replace all the lights???
Short day trip tomorrow with our grandaughter's to base camp and fish...next weekend to Riggs Flat Lake atop Mt Graham

dont know why the vehicles dont show up..its in my profile???

No need to replace the lights, just pop off the covers and ck the bulbs? could be the OP in replacing refrig cut the wire. open the refrig door ourside and ck wiring?. FYI=brian. You can check my posting for Mods.

Congrats. We just returned from the eastern Sierra's yesterday in our 15 yr old Northstar 850TC. Everything still works. It got down to 35* Thursday night and the higher elevations got a fresh dusting of snow. I need to get to Home Depot for a roll of the insulation guys have posted as our homemade insulation wasn't cutting it.
Very light crowds aside from Devil's Postpile in Mammoth. Enjoy.

What replacement shower head did you use? The (I think stock one) is pathetic. No spray pressure at all. Let me know how the new one works out.

Thanks,
Mike
