I picked this beauty up for free. Our local cable company got bought by Comcast and this orphan got lost in the shuffle:) It actually is too far gone to fix if you had to pay someone and they lost:( the title, so I picked it up. It had a 12' diameter satelitle dish mounted to it. The base was a 4'x6' by 1 inch thick plate steel. Can you say heavy:Wow1: . It took about 3 hour to tear down the dish. The wood is shot but the frame and suspension are surface rust only. I just needa new deck and paint. All the steel and aluminum is going to the scrap yard to fund the new deck. I'll also have to get it retitled. It is rated at 10K. The axles look like mobile home axles.

Has anyone every used new plastic decking (like for homes). I'm tempted but I'm not sure it's heavy enough. Also it has some kind of enertia brake that I'll have to figure out:confused:

Nice find! The price is definately right, lol. The braking system is called "Surge Brakes" if they are working good I'd keep them. You don't need to worry about going through the expense of putting electric brakes on the trailer and the truck (if it doesn't already have it) The only issue with surge brakes is if you have to back up some times it could apply the brakes. The better Surge units have a lever to flip so that you can back up with out applying the brakes. Not all of them have that feature though.
