Hey everyone just wanted to introduce myself to the forums. I own a 1993 Nissan hardbody 4x4. It's my first four wheel drive vehicle so I'm pretty excited to start wheeling. I have decided that my first modification is going to be a rear locker. Than after that I'm not sure any suggestions?~chris

Welcome man, back in 1994, my 1st 4x4 was a 1993 Nissan Hardbody 2.4 too , congrats, you have a nice base 4x4 to make interesting upgrades. After many years , the HB ended like this :

Hey again, the bull bar was a copy (custom made) of an ARB Sahara bull bar. The lift kit was all custom, maily because the front solid axle swap (a Toyota pick up 8" front axle was used) and custom made rear leafs.

When I sold it a couple of years ago , I posted this add, on a local Bulletin board where you might see some data (sadly its in Spanish.. hahahah) :

Great looking pictures man! I didn't realize they were 35's holy hell! those are a little bigger than i was expecting to go I was thinking around the 33in size would be sufficent enough for me. So you just had that brush bar welded on the fron then, it looks like it's a whole bumper assembly!

The bumper was bolted to the trucks frame, and the "push bar" was also bolted to a lower support in order to remove it if necessary.

Those were "old school" Good Year MTs (the ones the Hummer H1 used) in 35" versions. Wheels were 15x10" with 2" spacers to gain a bit of a wider stance. Yes 33" is a good size for all around use.
This truck had the carburated Z24 Nissan 4 cilinder and I swapped a 175 hp 3.2 V6 engine (Isuzu) which was sold complete and cheap to me.

Hey jpvm, do you have any pics of your '93 Hardbody? I'd like to see it sometime. Perhaps a pic of the back of the glovebox if you have one.

Welcome clg82, good luck with your Nissan. Those are great rigs.

Welcome clg82, good luck with your Nissan. Those are great rigs.

Funny guy .... the man asked for details on how to build his HB , he got them.

Show us YOUR ride then, surely an Xterra ... as usual :safari-rig:

Easy there big fella. It truly was a joke not that i'm apologizing. And no need to show either one of my typical Xterras esp since this is someone else's thread. And you're the big man with the Patrol. The amusing thing about that is you have something that's not even offered here. If it were you would stand out just like me with my "usual" Xterra. So, judging by your statement it would appear that you are looking down on me for owning an X. Good job buddy, real tough to do my friend. Ha ha ha!!

Sorry clg82, i know you asked for info and pics on the Hardbody. I was just being an *** because i'm like that but i certainly did not mean to jack your thread. If this is your first Nissan truck there are several U.S. websites dedicated to Nissan trucks. One that comes to mind that will be able to answer any of your questions is roninwheelers.com

Good luck with the build.

No bad feelings from my side anyways. Also I am not looking down to anybody, under no circumstance, I just maybe uploaded too many pics of my now defunct (sold) HB and wanted to help somehow. Apparently sometimes too much is not well seein'.
And you are right man, I am riding over something that is not offered in the US that's why my limited input in this board (and all those in the US) and when I see some post where I can share something , there I go, sadly as said, too much of a good thing sometimes is not appreciated. Peace.
