Also, I'm with Kristian on the shocks. I'd go with the OME shocks paired with the OME springs.
I do not concur. Really depends on level of armor and cargo one plans to run and what you plan to use the truck for. Old OME Nitros were great all purose shocks, valve for a modest load and daily driving on/off road. But the new Nitro Sports (>2012) are valved for much higher loads and not daily driver friendly.
Where does this opinion come from? I have the new Nitro Sports on 3 trucks right now and 2 sets are coming off ASAP. On my '94 FZJ (with OME 863J springs), which has about 1500# of armor and overland gear in/on it all at times, the ride is amazing; they are perfect for heavily loaded trucks. Without a similar load, the New Nitro Sports on my '96 FZJ80 and UZJ100 are way too stiff, they way over dampen the OME springs. And restrict articulation in the suspension 4 wheeling. The past 2 months I've researching replacements for the Nitro Sports, and Radflo, Bilstien, and Koni Raids have been in my sights. Gunna try the Koni Raids. The Koni Raids are about $200 a corner and fully adjustable, rebuildable, and revalvable.
