My unique camper is for sale. it is a 2004 model (I am keeping the private plate that is on it)Converted from one of only 47 vehicles made for the energy company Eon. 58900 miles. The engine has been fitted with upgraded parts by Billcar Engineering (Look them up on the internet) and had a new clutch and timing belt fitted. Outside there is a snorkel and roof lights. Custom made swing away cycle carrier that holds two bikes. It has BF Goodrich All terrain tyres on alloy wheels.The chassis was undersealed 4000 miles ago.
The cab is an extra cab with storage behind the seats, which is where the 4 x 110amp hour leisure batteries are kept along with master switch etc. There is also a 240v socket here linked to a commando plug outside so they can be left connected to a trickle charger when the truck isn't being used. The cab has a tilt/roll meter and a screen linked to two rear cameras. One is on all the time showing the view behind the truck and the wide angle camera comes on when reverse gear is selected. I have a set of new front fog lights which will be included in the sale but which the buyer will need to fit. The cab has a CD/radio.
The elevating roof was a brand new Reimo roof that I have fitted. I have made some steps for the back which lock in both the up and down position
Inside the living bit there is a sink and drainer which drains to an external portable grey water tank. Cooking is via a Wallas diesel ceramic hob - very fuel efficient and clean as the fumes exhaust to the outside. The cooker is fed from a separate portable fuel tank. The hob also provides the heating and I have fitted a ducted fan outlet at floor level - my aim was to make a cover on the hob to link to the ducting but i never got round to it.
There is a CD/radio in the living bit
Power is via 240v hook up to 2 sockets or via a 1500 watt pure sine wave inverter to a dedicated socket. There are 4 individually switched LED spot lights.
The fridge is a Waeco 12v compressor fridge. The cooling fins are sealed from the inside and vented to the outside with 2 fans to aid cooling. These are connected to a temperature switch which means the fridge is very, very efficient. There is lots of storgae for a small truck. There is also a porta potti toilet which is kept in a cupboard under the sink.
The bed is 5' 8" and makes into a double - although the way it makes up could do with simplifying. Also included in the sale is a huge drive away rear awning. The habitation unit is insulated with kingspan and rockwool, ply lined and carpeted.
The truck was featured on the front cover of 4x4 Magazine in June 2004 along with a 5 page feature.
