The V9X 3 litre V6 Turbodiesel engine has been developed to deliver high levels of performance with strong economy, competitive emissions and class-leading refinement. A world first in the 1-ton pickup segment.
Power output is 170kW while the torque output of 550Nm leads the class. Better still, peak torque is achieved from as low as 1700 rpm and is available all the way to 2500 rpm, while as much as 500Nm is available from a mere 1500rpm. Idle speed is an exceptionally low 650rpm with none of the vibrations and noise usually associated with a diesel.

I have driven the 2.5TD for Nissan in test and competition once. Was very impressed with it compared to my old 2.7 donkey. That thing drives like a car on the road, had it up to over 200KM/h. Picked up the vehicle with 30Km on the clock with normal road rubber, off to the competition and came 8 out of 30 vehicles. I was pleased as punch as the Toyota Hilux D4D was written off at the same competition and I came home with one little scratch on the front fender.

I installed the RTT from Tepui and took it on a couple trips. It's been really nice!

Well through not being an expert with fibreglass, it took a while and three attempts. I set a budget for the project and purchased what I needed ahead of time. Budget was about 30% of what a import snorkel would have cost me for a Parthfinder and I was not sure if it would work anyhow. From the time I cut the hole in the fender to final was just over a year, but then I was only working some evenings as I hardly ever get a full day to spend on something like this.
So when I have a failure, I go up to 4 months backward on the project. Failures included moulds not releasing and moulds being to thin and warping. The final push came when I had 4 days off and probably got more done in that little time than in six months doing it on and off in spare time.

Here's some pics of my '92 Pathfinder SE.
Unfortunately she's getting ready to be parted out, and I have a topic on it in the for sale section.
I always want to test my driving skill by navigating the difficult trails in a completely stock rig, and try to get out with no body damage.
Needless to say it's gotten me into some interesting situations!
At Deep Creek in Big Bear, CA, 2010, on the easy section.

Thanks! We've wheeled so many black diamond trails in that rig, even when I had the ability to modify, I turned it down.
It was just too much fun surprising people with a little nissan wheeling with the best!
