Have been dealing with a no-start issue with my Gen II - '95 SR.
We were leading a trip up to go play in some snow when the engine just died and would not start. Ended pulling Monty to a safe spot and jumped into my girlfriend's built Land Cruiser. Enjoyed the day playing in the snow, then coasted my Monty down the hill to tar. Ran to town grabbed some MAF cleaner, pulled the MAF, cleaned, and put everything back together. Monty fired right up. So excitedly, we headed back to camp. The next morning Monty fired up and we headed home about 15 miles down the road the engine cut out again. Coasted to the site of the road, sat there cussing for a minute hit the ignition and Monty fired right up. Hit the Naches Tavern for beers and breakfast them made the rest of the 60ish miles drive home without incident. The next day Monty would not fire up and hasn't fired off for about three weeks until today.
Today, I applied 12v directly to the fuel pump. Let the pump run for a few seconds and hit the ignition...... guess what? Monty fired right up.
My long-winded question is.... what would cause the fuel pump not to activate when the ignition is on? Completely stumped on this one.
Thanks,
~ Jon
