Noise from Rear Brake on my '99

All-Terrain

No Road Required
When you push on the brake pedal, the right rear brake on my '99 Montero makes a squeaking/groaning/dragging noise.

When you take your foot off the pedal, it goes away.

Any thoughts?

My thoughts are that maybe you should pull the wheel off and take a look for yourself, 99% certain that either the pad wear indicator is contacting the rotor(could also be a bent rotor) or the caliper is starting to stick, asking for a bunch of opinions will only get you so far until you take a look and then ask for ways to fix it. Brakes are very simple to work on.
