If anyone is looking for cans, Deutsche Optik still shows new NATO/Wedco style cans on their website for ~$200//4, shipped.

Swiss Army Vehicles has the bomber Swiss surplus spouts that will drain 20L in a jiffy.

welp did a little research and the gaskets are the same, so i went ahead and ordered a pair. $65 shipped for 2

EDIT: he has 8 or so left

Those are the wide-mouth cans which I don't think you can get nozzles for. If you use a siphon this won't be a problem. YMMV.

Cheers,
Graham

ya, good point—and that's what I was going to do anyway too. So, I guess we don't need to worry too much w/how they compare w/the actual NATOs—I hope. :)

I have these, they are Wavian cans. You can get matching spouts from Rover Parts for $16, they'll drain 20L in a minute or so.

i didnt realize they were the different size opening, but with the siphon I will be fine, I'm wondering where to get gaskets now though....hmmm

good question. I'll ask the seller if they have any ideas...

i emailed him earlier this morning about it too haha.

"Dear 97tjguzzy,

The only way I would be able to replace a gasket is to take one fron another can. I have not really looked into where you could find replacement gaskets.

lol, he told me pretty much the same thing. Quick response!

"I have not looked for any so I don't know. I have some around the warehouse that I have taken out of badly beat up cans".

I thanked him for the info and said if I need any in the future and can't find some I'll give him a shout to see if he still has any. :costumed-smiley-007

They have a HUGE mouth, MUCH bigger than the NATO cans I have dealt with. but they are brand new and the gasket is in great shape.

I bought one to store used engine oil in between trips to the oil recyclers.

I was using a rusty Wedco water can, but the big mouth on this makes it easier to fill.

No more fumes or spills. :sombrero:
