Thanks for the post.
The US car sales and builders should start to change their thinking or they will be left in the dust by Toyota & Co.
They have to start to build small trucks with diesel. Most people don't need a 2500/3500, they just want to be able to tow their boat/camper on the weekends and have a nice, fuel efficiant 4x4 truck. Which can transport 2 adults and 2 kids without losing the option to stretch (or for me 6'6" to get in and have kids sit behind me).
I have sat in the new VW AMAROK and really loved it:
- 2.0l Twin Turbo Diesel
- Rear diff lock as Option
- Can tow up to 3500kg (7700#'s) without elctr. brakes
- Can load in the bed 1130+kg (2500#'s)
- Has room for a Kid behind me (not possible in the Hilux)
- and use less than 8l on 100km (~30mpg)
- oh yeah price. The way I would order 28000€ (~39.000$) with tax and this would be full retail
Build a Truck for the normal Family dad with a Diesel.
I VOTE YES :victory:
