Nothing too fancy, budget friendly?

Looking for a utility trailer in lieu of buying a rack for a RTT. Driving a Wrangler and what I have come up with is around $2k for a rack on the top if I want a RTT. Looking to spend that towards a solid trailer. I'll add what I need when I need it. Going to be a support vehicle this summer for a BDR trip and it would be super helpful to have a trailer in tow for gear and if one of the bikes needs to be hauled no problem. I am located in Oregon but willing to travel a bit for the right opportunity. Anyone have ideas for something reasonably priced? Really just a trailer and would prefer Timbren suspension but would be open to solid axle. When googling off road trailer I keep coming up with these over priced $20-30k units. Certainly wouldn't want to do that.

The Smittybilt Scout trailer is the most affordable typical “camping trailer” setup.

If you want to haul a bike though I’d just get a regular utility trailer with a 3500 lb axle, as narrow as possible, and put a rack on it for the tent. Here’s an easy option.

Basic steel utility trailer with a fold down mesh ramp from every trailer supplier in the US will do what you want, and you can add an elevated mount for a rooftop tent cheaply. Utility trailers may not be “off-road” enough for Instagram, but you can drag them through hell and hammer & weld them back into shape in the rare instance you break them. Parts available in every tractor shop and NAPA.

Many, perhaps even most? “off-road” trailers won’t really haul a motorcycle unless you break it down some.

I would stick to a 4x8 or 5x9 basic single axle trailer. If you don’t like it, sell it and try again. It won’t really lose value.
