Novak vs. Advance Adapter

The title says it all... which company would you go with if you had the choice? Specifically, I'm looking at the NP435 to Dana 300 adapter kits, but I'm also looking for information in general on the two companies as far as quality of the products, customer service etc.

There is quite a difference in pricing as I can get the Advance Adapter unit for $380 or so and the Novak kit for $494.

Thanks in advance. (no pun intended)

I did use a Novac adapter for a 289 V8 to T-90 and it worked great. Advanced Adapters has a great reputation too.

The pricing difference could be in how they mate the input shaft too. That is one thing I would confirm.

Good point... from what I can tell, both kits replace the mainshaft and come with an adapter plate, seals, gaskets, hardware etc.

The only differences I can see is that the advance adapter kit is designed for both 2wd and 4wd transmissions in the same kit and the novak kit is specific to 2wd or 4wd. The biggest difference I see though is that the Advance kit has 2 clocking positions for the t-case and the Novak has 3.

I probably should have clarified on the pricing... list prices are 510 and 494 respectively for the advance and novak kits... I've been able to find the advance kit much cheaper through a different retailer. From what I can tell, Novak only sells direct though.

I've been selling and installing off road product for 22 years, and in business since 1994. Both companies products are outstanding, the difference is going to be the details that make installation in your application easier. Does one come with a trans output shaft? Is you 435 being rebuilt at the same time? (makes installing the output shaft a non issue) I just used a Novak 700R4 to Dana 300 adapter because it came with a 27 spline input shaft for the transfer case which is much cheaper and easier to change than the trans output especially considering I just rebuilt the trans 3 months earlier. Hope that helps.
