OBD II Torque app

I don't how many of you guys here use this but it is a pretty good app for your phone, paired with a bluetooth OBD II reader you can watch you OBD II compliant vehicle in real time. Plus I was just looking at the App website and there is also a MUT plug in for the Pro version. So that it will access the Mitsubishi only parts of the ECU. Just thought this would be helpful I think for any car owner.

I run torque, great app. I have an older bluetooth reader that I keep in the toolbox at home, and this low profile one lives in the truck paired with the tablet I use for mapping. The great thing is the low profile reader is less than $11 with amazon prime, and I think the app was about 5 bucks. Cant beat that

I love the torque app with the Bluetooth OBDII code reader. Works like a champ.... 95% of the time.

Looks like it doesn't exist for iPhone! However, there is the DashCommander: http://www.palmerperformance.com/products/dashcommand/iphone/index.php

Yeah I have noticed a number of people use Apple here and other forums, lol. Dashcommand is avaliable for both iOS and Android. A good option if say you have a Android tablet and iPhone, or vice versa. I just was looking up stuff and noticed the MUT plug in for Torque. I don't know if it even works with the Montero family. The app said they only tested it on a colt (I think Japanese, not American lol) So it might work on the Montero family might not. At this point I am not willing to shell out the $10 bucks for Torque Pro and the MUT add on just to find out it doesn't access the Montero ECU.

Torque (free) works fine on my Gen 3. I've used it to reset those pesky o2 codes (SES light) several times.

Looking for that thing i just had in my hand...
I have the OEM MUT tool and it works on the Montero, if that helps.

This plugin works with the Montero for many of the sensors that are there - however it doesn't have the transmission MUT stuff I really wanted so I'm somewhat displeased about it. Would be good for troubleshooting certain things like Idle Air Meter and Injector issues.

I am going to work with the author to potentially expand this item.

Resurrecting a very old thread, but was there any update here? Has anyone been able to monitor trans temps using a bluetooth OBDII sensor? I just picked one up from Amazon and am trying to figure out just how useful it will be.

I have this and used it on my Sport. I never really checked which all the sensors it monitored most and all of the important stuff.

I use Torque and like it a lot, but haven't found that it talks to the transmission at all. I use the "counting the blinking light" method when it throws a code.
