Scam? Maybe, but I think anyone who's owned a rover long enough has wanted "out" at some point or another. They just suck you back in though!

$3881 = the amount he spent in armor :) roflmao. he forgot to add the cost of the 7 lighforce lights into that.

I definitely recognize that truck and I believe the owner is trying to sell it. But I recall he wants much, much more than that asking price. Somehwere north of $13K if I remember correctly.

Edit: Yep it's DiscoNomads truck, he has it listed over on Dweb with that exact same picture. Only problem is he's asking $44K for it over there. I would jump on the CL deal as it's much better!

Yea I email DiscoNomad about this a few days ago. He said the truck is still for sale at Copley Motorcars. Price is still $44,500. The CL scammer said his truck belonged to his brother but passed away. And the truck is in Columbus, Montana, ready to be shipped.

Here's his Los Angeles CL ad.

And here's DiscoNomad's ad on LRRF.

$44k ??!!

These days an 03/04 MkIII can go for $12 to $15k. For $44k it better includes lifetime warranty and modding contract from previous owner!

There are ALWAYS craigslist scams going on. You see discos, range rovers for $5000, range rover sports for $10k, etc. they usually have a JPG with some bogus email address embedded in the pic. its always looks too good to be true and it is a SCAM. Please FLAG them when seen!

now 44K is a bit much though....

on the other hand, the white disco with ARB bumper for $4k looks pretty nice depending on mileage and year...

Dude that is NICE looking. Best color. How's the underside? Interior? Mileage? Service history? If it's clean and a decent runner, and you can get it for $3k, that would be a pretty good deal.

Pull up the rear cargo mat and carpet and check out the floor. That's one of the few big rust spots a lot of people overlook.

Oh and check the CDL to make sure it cycles between 4 lo/hi, diff lock, and diff lock 4 lo/hi. A lot of the t-cases on grocery getter Discos sit dormant for their entire life and they bind up something fierce.
