Well another weekend out of work so instead of playing around with my 2 yrs old doughter i'm back on my project...(I know she and her mother are gonna thank me for that when summer comes).
So we build the rigid subframe i was talking to you about so i can bolt on my axle
[/IMG]
Then i test fitted both axle and subframe onto the trailer's frame
[/IMG]
I really like the way it looks solid(and hopefully not heavy)as a rock...:coffeedrink:
I also think that i finally have to provide more strength to the first crossmember...
It is time to make a hinge for the utility tub so i can tilt it whenever i want to
(using a jack or something )and also to be able to remove it so i can put on the popup one...We used a tube and there's gonna be a threaded rod slided in fixed with remoovable nuts.Unscrew one nut, slide out the rod and off you go tub.

In the next pic you can see Stefan the welder(i paid him 130 euros=150$)
for half the cutting and all the welding job) and the happy supervisor my father
[/IMG]
Now i have to figure out where to place the jack and what kind of jack is it going to be.I want it to be something cheap and easy...
[/IMG]
Notice that the frame is not extended as far back as the tub.So iam gaining ground clearance saving weight.Plus(this is an old trick) the force that i need in order to lift the tub is WAAAYYYY smaller

OOHHH...And a friend of mine gave me today two tires i can use(bridgestone
AT dueller 265/70/15.
I hope they'll get on well with my TJ's 31/10,5/15...
We'll see...:victory:
