Nice looking products. I wish you well in your venture. Are you showing at the Expo? If not, you should have someone show your stuff, even informally.

Thank you very much!

I wouldn't miss Expo for the world. I'll be there but I won't be an official vendor. I will, however, have plenty of my products and would love to talk to some folks there!

Can you do something with Nissan Xterras? I'd definitely be interested in getting a dual batter installed on mine if you do.

I'm almost positive that would also work on 3rd gen trucks as well. That's the spot where I put my compressor and the mounting plate looks identical.

I definitely have plans for an Xterra tray. It may be a few weeks though. Im swamped with a few other designs. Don't worry.... I won't forget the Nissan guys!

That would be awesome if it fit! I should have 3rd Gen in my hands by next week... I will definitely do some fit testing and let you all know.

This is what that spot looks like BTW (just ignore that compressor in the way):

Since you'll be looking at a 3rd gen, I'd be really interested in a dual battery tray in the stock location. I'm pretty sure it's a tighter fit than the 2nd gen, but I think it'll still work. I'm cool working up my own fab if I must, but I'd gladly pay for something that got the job done as cleanly as the one you've posted above.

Oh wow. It does look like it might fit. I will be able to check for sure on Wednesday. If it doesnt fit, Im sure it would only be a minor revisions to make it work. Thanks for the pic!

I will also be checking in to the stock location for you. Im sure I will have something that fits there very soon!

Alright everybody, here it is. The OFF-GRID ENGINEERING Dual Battery System for the 2nd Gen Tacoma (with ATRAC).

Keep in mind that although I do not have trays available for other models yet... the wiring kit is available separately with custom cables made to your specifications. Give me lengths and I do the rest! This will fit any vehicle with custom lengths!

Here is what you get:

-Battery Tray made exclusively for the 2nd Generation Toyota Tacoma. Designed to mounted on the passenger side fender. Cut via water jet out of 5052 1/4" aluminum w/ TIG welded leg.

-Exclusive OGE Tie Down, also 1/4" 5052 aluminum

-Blue Sea ML-ACR, 500 amp, voltage sensing relay w/ pre-wired harness and in-cab switch

-2 AWG cables. High strand count, super flexible, made in USA. Plenty of length to get the job done! They are pre-terminated on one end with aviation grade lugs that are hydraulically crimped. They are finished with Techflex sheathing and 3M, marine-grade, adhesive lined heat shrink. These cables can be pre-terminated on both ends if you give me lengths!!

-Four Mil-Spec terminals

-Four aviation grade lugs

-Five female connectors for in-cab switch.

-All necessary mounting hardware, extra heat shrink, and zip ties!

I paid ridiculous attention to detail building this. You will not find a more inclusive or high quality kit anywhere! I promise!

Price: Introductory for TacomaWorld and ExPo members:

$599.00 for full kit
$459.00 for wiring kit only (everything minus tray) (you pick the lengths... reasonable lengths please)
$149.00 for tray only

I like it! You can't go wrong with a Blue Sea Systems ARC at the heart of the system.

Do you have any plans to build a tray for the Ford F250 Super Duty truck, i.e. a 2004 with the V10 Triton engine? I'm mounting a winch on mine now, but so far I haven't found a location under the hood big enough to mount a second battery.
