Does anyone know what happened to ORTT? I know Tat was trying to sell the business. I still like some of their custom US made parts.

They announced that they where closing about 6 mouths ago. I guess he was not able to sell the bussiness.

Some of their products have started to be made by other companies.

It's really too bad they closed. I love some of their products.

Off Road Trail Tools is back

Hello All,

Thank you for the kind words. I am able to shed some light on this subject. Yes, we did have the company up for sale early last year. There were numerous inquiries, some serious and some not. Because of that, the company was broken up as follows:

• The metal products were taken over by Tailgunner Off Road in MO.

• The injection molding went to Ultimate Off Road in Yuma, AZ.

• The cut & sew portion (wrench rolls, tool Rolls, grab handles) remains in the hands of Off Road Trail Tools! In last few months we’ve decided to get the fabric portion of the business going again, with some of the smaller, faster moving items back on the website (available now).

• All pertinent information remains the same: website URL, e-mails, phone numbers, location, part numbers, Twitter, etc. We have upgraded security on the store and anything else pertaining to online transactions. We are in the process of updating the website to accurately reflect current availability on specific items.

• The ORTT dealer network is in place again (if you choose to buy from your favorite dealer).
As always, we are proud to continue all ORTT product manufacturing in the U.S.

We’re very excited about being able to serve you once again with award winning products, (like our fabric goods) such as your vehicle safety, tool storage and organization needs (grab handles, wrench rolls and tool rolls).

Thank you for your continued support. Feel free to give me a call with any questions. Happy trails!

this is great as I love my tool rolls and was scouting out another option...
Even Jonathan Hanson mentions ORTT quality rolls in the Overland Tech articles on the Ultimate 1 tool box kit.

Awesome to have you back Tat! Do you do custom stuff? We Gen2 Montero owners need to expand our cubby storage in the cabin. I'm thinking something with semi rigid sides (maybe plastic inserts) that straps to the side of the center console and gives us a place to put sunglasses, cell phone, FRS, HAM handset, etc...

Hi Lance,

Thanks. We're working on some new ideas now. Always thinking about continuous improvements. As well as product line expansion.

Hi Nathan,

Thanks. Good to be back amongst friends again. We will stay with the production stuff for now. However we do plan on expanding current lines. The creative juices are always flowing.

We have a long list of parts we would like to bring to the market place...
