Old Man Emu vs Icon, first hand experience?

I run ICON's and they are awsome. The best part is the adjustability anytime you add or take weight away you can change your suspension in no time. I do run OME springs and shocks out back and they are an awsome ride. As far as speed i can run wide open down pot hole roads or air the rig out and it is super plush!

I had the Donahoe Racing (now ICON) extended adjustable coil-overs on my 1999 4runner Limited Supercharged w/ ARB bumper w/ Warn 9.5xp. They rode amazingly well. I caught air off road a couple times and it landed smoothly. I also had the Total Chaos UCAs. Those things had the poly bushings that squeaked like crazy. I'd lube them up ever couple weeks. My thought would be to keep your stock UCA if possible. They are durable and work well for mild lift. OME builds products to survive Australia where roads are trails. Their products are like factory parts: not extreme, last forever, reliable and minimal maintenance. I'm running OME suspension on my truck and love it.

* Remember with IFS rigs the more lift = less suspension down travel. I think you should keep 2-3" down travel for the best ride.

the uniball UCA's give more down travel, that would be my only reason for running them. Im wondering if the spring rate on the icons will be a little too stiff for a standard cab 4cyl, i wish they offered a couple diff spring rates, i guess i can always buy a different spring if the ones they come with are too stiff, but the $$ starts to add up fast.
