OLd thread "RTT New" Deleted

I recently have had a dispute in your "expedition equipment for sale" forumn. I have seen that this thread has been deleted. There were no violations that I saw in the rules and I'm wondering why it was deleted.
I think there should be a section in the forumn for people to post their thoughts on past transactions with other members/vendors.
I have had a few private messages since this thread was deleted, wondering how I made out....A few told me that they also had bad deals with this person in the past.
Truth be told this member said he was going to refund my money, posted in the thread that he was going to refund my money....but he has not, now many people have read that and think this is a done deal. I wish it was, but unfortunately this is far from over.
Maybe if there was something that I could of read at some point to let me know what a deadbeat I would be dealing with..This would of never happened.

rain76king, I was also wondering why it was deleted. I was following the thread and wanted to see how it worked out for you. IMHO It should of never been deleted because the seller didn't want any bad rep. Obviously he has still not followed through with the deal.

I request that the thread be brought back. I'm sure if you saw a post like the one that was removed you would have done more research. If the threads are deleted what can you research?

Deleting the thread without even notifying the purchaser was a foul. :smilies27

Unless the policy was previously established that this site doesn't allow deals gone bad threads, that thread should NOT have been deleted. It's like sweeping the dust under the rug and appears to me that the seller is being protected (which I'm sure is not the intent of the site owner and mods). The seller *appears* not to be acting in good faith and it is important that all EP members who are interested know the outcome IMO.

The thread was pulled pending review and discussion by the mods, and to limit unnecessary mud-slinging.
Only a couple of us have seen & provided input on the thread so far.
When it is investigated adequately, appropriate action will be taken.

First of all Luis, I never even mentioned your name. It was a question to the moderators in general. I wanted to know how buyers could beware of sellers that have had bad transactions in the past.
I am aware of how paypal works, I didn't cut and post the paper trail that has my personal information, as my full name and email address (which if you knew anything about the rules of this forumn, you just broke them), thank you verry much for that by the way. When I get my money that has been on some sort of a sabbatical for a month (which I get to pay interest on since it was put on my credit card...YAY). I will gladly let everyone know that this is a done deal.
My paypal does say infact that it is pending, which on paypal means-

"There are insufficient funds in your seller's PayPal account to cover the payment. The refund is now being funded with an electronic funds transfer from the seller's bank account. This refund will remain pending until the bank account transfer has been complete."

As far as other buyers who have had bad experiences with you , I will not post their names. If they want to, they can come here and post. If you want to try and say I'm making that up...I will gladly forward the emails that I have recieved from members about your poor selling skills to the moderators and they can say I'm not making it up.

I'm far from a drama queen , I'm on a few other New England forums and have never had one problem with anyone, selling, buying or just chatting. I'm not trying to "raise hell", just cautioning others.

Maybe when you sell something it gives an option to rate the seller and then something shows up in the members avatar section, it's always "buyer beware" but something like that might just give people a little more incentive to be a little better. Also implementing the rule that a seller and a purchaser having been in the community for some time in order to sell or purchase.

Just a thought that I am sure you have been thinking about already.
