OME Driveshaft Packer Kit

Is the spacer something that a person should consider even if there are no noticeable driveline vibrations? I have had the full OME system (no additional rear leaf) on my double cab longbed for about a month with over 3000 miles, and have yet to have any vibrations.

I had never considered that the spacer may be easier on the driveline, regardless if there are vibrations or not.

What year DC?

The packer kit is considered mandatory fitment for the gen 2 trucks (05-10') but was never offered as part for the earlier trucks. They can and have been used with good results in the earlier trucks when needed.

The truck is a 2009 double cab long bed. I have the 886 coils in the front with an ARB and Warn M8000, and the CS047R leafs in the rear.

I would call and speak with whomever you purchased the kit from. Ultimately they set you up and they may have reasoning one way or the other. Again its my opinion that it should be used, but as shown in this thread there may be cases where its not required.

Cool, glad to hear its working nicely  No worries on the pics, with the center pin moved it would be a great fit, otherwise its hanging over one end or the other by several inches making for a sketchy looking install.

Whoops - I neglected to add I installed a RB spring relocation plate. With the Dakars alone I had fender rub.

I use the FK29 on my 06 Tacoma. I installed the carrier bearing spacer at the same time that I installed the CS047R springs. Before the springs were available I had an AAL that gave a mild low speed vibration. The FK29 along with the Dakar springs seemed to eliminate the vibration.

We also sell 3* axle shims, which seem to help with the vibrations also.
