On board battery charger for fridge

Is anyone using one? There are many times where my JKU is not driven for several days so I find myself removing the fridge or running a drop cord inside it for the fridge. Plus, many campgrounds we frequent have power on each site we could plug into as well.

I'm thinking something basic such as this one as I'm fine with a single battery for now at least

Thanks

The unit you linked to is more of a maintainer vs. a true charger that could recover much more quickly. I mounted a weatherproof Genius 10A under the wiper cowl on my 07 Jeep - also the Battery Tender Marine 7A (I think that's the size) will fit there. I suggest 5A or higher to keep up with appliances and a faster charge rate vs. just a maintainer, but depends on your needs and draw. My Genius will step down multiple stages to maintain mode as needed when the dual batteries are charged. Can also get an AC port to install on the vehicle so all you need is an extension cord to AC power and plug that into the charger port anytime you need to.

Not sure what model fridge you have but I have own an Engel, National Luna and currently an ARB...
In all cases they had a 120vAC cord that could be used and would pull power from that if it was plugged even if the 12vDC was also plugged in.

I often times will power up my fridge the night before a trip and cool it down on wall power vs vehicle.
Of course I am about to install solar which I had on other rigs and that meant no concern over shore power at all :)
