Opinions on HiCountry Offroad DII Roof Rack?

Since hicountryoffroad.com is having a 40%-off sale, I'm thinking about getting one of their roof racks and wonder if anyone can tell me about the quality of the welds, as well as the fit & finish before I pull the trigger any buy one.

While I'm at it, anyone have comments on their DII rear bumper with swing-arm carrier?? I really like a swing-arm so I might get one of these as well.

rear bumper is really ugly. the design of the corners and quarter panel protection kills it. come to think of it, the rack is horrible looking too. you can find much better looking things to buy, but to find it that cheap will take some looking. i would get a greg davis bumper if i were you.

While I tend to agree w/ Michaels about it not being the best looking thing out there - I just made my purchase the other day for the bumper and swing out tire carrier. For me - I couldn't beat the price, and like Michaels told me - anything metal is better than stock. And don't buy that roof rack. Search for a used SD or Hannibal.

No real feedback about the Hi-country bumper besides I personally think it looks terrible in pictures.

Question: What color is the Disco in the pictures? Looking for a new disco and a 2000 Kent Green rover is at the top of the list but this color may move replace the elusive Kent Green as numero uno.

I just went to Hi countrys shop in Evergreen today & bought a D1 front bumper from them. I think the looks of the roof rack is a personal opinion - But it's very well built. Looks like it could handle all kinds of abuse! He's about three weeks out in building my bumper-can't wait to get it!

Anyway I'm still looking at roof racks and wonder what people think of this roof rack, it's from ARB. Does anyone have an ARB roof rack and can comment on how well it fits a D2's gutter. The vehicle application guide for the D2 said a modification to gutter trim may be required.

I'm pretty sure it's Vienna Green. I nice color indeed. Haven't hear of Giverny.

How about this roof rack?

This is a low-profile roof rack for a D1 but they'll make one for a D2. It requires removal of the two (2) front roof rails.

it's all straight peices. there is no real thought in that inherent design. if it's straight pieces it does not match the truck the way it should.

also that huge advertisement would have to go if i owned it. but then again, i would spend my money on that rack. just find a used SD.

I have the SD Low rack and love it!

And a friend of mine on his D1 had an ARB rack
