Opinions on rally style mudflaps (good Pic)

Actually, I worked may rally start lines and those flaps are a life saver. They do really well deflecting debris and they flex well backward (1 direction) so they work great for those guys. If you wanted them, you could probably not rick crawl well with them, but for mud and debris, I say go for it, it is your truck, and your cleaning and paint...

OP, you did see the price on the JAOS mudlfaps, right?
This is ExPo, since when did price start to matter. I like the snowmachine track that has been cut mud flap myself. :ylsmoke:

What is the general opinion on these style of mudflaps on an expo rig. These have been around for a long time. I have only seen them on one truck in person, and thought it looked good. I was thinking of making my own to look similar.
The design looks good, but the color and logo is silly, IMO.

I've gotten my stock rear flaps to live/work off road but I had to cut down my fronts by 4-1/2" or so.
The front flaps on 2 gen Tacos are abnormally long.

Husky now offers replacement flaps for 2 gen Tacos.
Someone on TW is working on a replacement flap that looks like the JAOS.

Rally flaps, eh?

Took the stock flaps off of my Tacoma and bought some (shorter) ProFit splash guards through Amazon. I think I spent $18/pair. They are thick, flexible rubber - which is way better than the rigid stock plastic ones.

Well my truck is more prerunner/baja style than expo. So I felt the rally style flaps may look more at home. I dont care what the Jaos ones cost. I was not saying that I was going to buy those, I thought I would make my own pair similar in style. I would likely use the black plastic for a flap and some aluminum stock to help with the cable tie back part. I may still play with it but was interested in hearing what people like.

These are older pics of my truck.

Nice looking truck. I think the cable tie back would be a problem; just looking for something to snag it. When going over obstacles while executing a multipoint turn and reversing is where I had the most problems with my flaps. A flexible material that is not too long might fit the bill.
