I hear you, but the $8k+ dollars was paid out by the insurance adjusters. They processed the claim and paid for the necessary parts. All I had to do was let them :wings:

Eric - fair enough on that. It's easier when it's out of someone else's pocket. I'd love to have seen that bill, though.

Creek, what did it take to do that? After drooling over your X on here and thenewX I can only imagine what made that ding. I don't mind the wait, the X is my wife's ride. It only has 66k on the odometer and I'm hoping to start building it slowly then "inherit" it when I finally talk her into a new one. The deer are everywhere around here so I hope this bumper will help with that. Kinda gives me peace of mind with her commuting 50 miles a day. As for the wait, not many people make bumpers for this X and the shrock is my favorite (and hers!) by far.

Just watched the video, man you guys out west have it good..

Dude... the video shows how he did it. Take a second look where he slams that rock.

Jim & the crew do a wonderful job. He even opened the shop on a Saturday to do the install for me while I was in Houston for the day. Exceptional product and service.

As for the wait? I ordered in late June '09, and it was ready by late October. But honestly, I would have waited twice that for this quality. I love it.

I was a welder for awhile and there are a number of things that could cause the bumper to fail like what yours did. I own a 06 Frontier with all the skid plates for Shrockworks, the welds are of good quality. What may have happen is that the steel that Jim got had whats call lamination in it or defects in the steel itself. It sucks, but sometimes bad steel still gets though the quality control at some of these factories. Thats my two cents.

You are pretty much deer proof with it, moose on the other hand is another question.
