Orphans in Rwanda, help them help themselves
Seasons Greetings All,
My wife Alice and I have started a non-profit foundation earlier this year, dedicated to creating programs for overland expedition travelers to make a difference in the communities we visit. It is called The Muskoka Foundation, and I will be telling you a lot more about it on ExPo in the coming months.
In the mean time, one of our first projects has been a wonderful success, and I wanted to share it with all of you here.
If you could spare 2 minutes (and 23 seconds!) out of your day, please check out this video, which I created about the
All of the stunning images in that video, and in our 2009 Calendar were taken by orphaned children that we're working with in Kigali, who's parents were either killed in Rwanda's terrible genocide, or through HIV/AIDS.
We are selling the 2009 calendars for just US$20 and 100% of the proceeds from the calendars go back to supporting the kids for food, schooling and more photography supplies / workshops.
If you would like to learn more about The Muskoka Foundation, or you are planning an expedition in the next year, and would like to help us set-up another photography orphanage group somewhere in the world. Please contact me, and/or check out:

(it's still a bit of a work in progress, so please bear with us!)
Thanks so much for your interest and support.
Merry Xmas all,
Jay.
