Oshkosh is a long-time provider of heavy vehicles to the military. They decided to compete in the market for heavily armored patrol vehicles. Oshkosh found a design made by an Israeli company, and bought rights to produce a version of their own, which they call the Sandcat.

Here's the Sandcat as it might be purchased by a SWAT unit.

Believe it or not, under the armor is a Ford F550 chassis with 6.4L International turbodiesel engine. The F550 is required to support the weight of the armor. If you were to build a similar vehicle for ExPo use, you could probable get away with a SRW F350.
 
I wonder how they do the CTIS option? That's not easy in a non-portal axle.
Readers should look at their MTT (medium tactical truck). That would make a good heavy expedition truck platform.
