Honestly guys, it looks like another day at a California Highway Patrol (CHP) motor school. It looks like a shorter version of our final exam. If you ever have the chance to see a police motor competition do it. You guys will love it.

There's another member on this forum that is instructor certified. Those guys are flawless. It's all clutch/throttle, head & eyes.

I've seen a video on the net somewhere of the final exam... how those guys can throw those Harley's around is nothing short of amazing. Apparently the BMWs are no easier.

The Beemer's are easier to sling than the Harleys. The Harley's will MAKE you a better rider. You have to earn every single turn. We have seven beemers (1150's) and two 650's along with two Harleys. Our Lt. asked us, as riders what we wanted. Hands down we picked Beemers.

The two guys that picked the Harleys are both over 6'4". One is our sgt and the other is our head trainer. They don't do a lot of enforcement riding. The grey area (Moment inbetween clucth release and engagement) is a lot bigger in the Harley. It feels like a mile wide. Compare it to a beemer and the beemer is razor thin.

Honestly, the old police kawasaki's were bombproof, u-turning machines. You could bust out a u-turn in the width of two parking spots all day long. They had metal sliders on the bottom of the floorboards that were meant to grind down in order to save the floor board. It was a real attention grabber (Read show off) to bust a tight turn and hear the grind. Add to that tight u-turn your partner riding 6-12" off to your sidewhile doing the u-turn and it looks and sounds hot.

I just got back from a week in Phoenix at a training class. There were three Scottsdale motors there. They said they also used CHP trained lead instructors.

Yeah, another day for you! You know I made it through by the skin of my teeth. Everyday I was expecting to take the walk! You should miss them. You were a good instructor. I wish we had video of you riding the "Beast: side saddle for these guys. :Wow1: I've seen some crazy things, but that was without a doubt one of the most impressive examples I've ever seen.

We're your ears burning yesterday? Harry Wagner was over yesterday and we were talking about you. I was telling him about how you took me over Fordyce for my first time and how amazed I was.

When do you guys meet for the battle born cruisers?

Thanks for the compliments. I had a day like that at CHP. I really thought I would be taking that long ride back to the bike shed. Glad to hear you made it.

Kawi's make that stuff really easy.:roost: Never tried it on any of the other makes.

Usually the second Tuesday of every month at 1830 at the Round Table Pizza in the Old Town mall. I still need to check out the new toy. I'll try and remind you on the next one. Good group of guys.

Also we are going to be doing Eldorado Canyon this coming Saturday (the 24th).

The wife and I miss Fordyce. That was a good trip, too bad we had to take to turn out and miss the final portion of the trail.
