Friend and i did a last minute trip up to Otay Mountain which is right on the US/Mexico border! PERFECT riding weather, good trails and awesome views.

We came across some Border Patrol folks that were very friendly and gave us "unofficial" permission to use some of their patrol roads as well as the other trails!

nice pics and looks like you had fun with the ruts! ;)

I been there a number of times in my truck and once even took my ninja 250 street bike thru there - pretty slow though and only on the main gravel roads mainly :)

also saw people hiding in the bushes in that area before and some trails that looked quite well traveled by illegal immigrants with a bunch of trash along them, like water bottles. and then there is this dog that we once met there. later I heard on fjcruiserforums that it lives on the mountain and border patrol feeds him - don't know if it's true though...

Interesting. There is that one building ruin along the trail where we saw a big bin with dog food and buckets with water. Wonder if that's for the same dog.

probably... if we are talking about the same building then it is one at the intersection of 3 or 2 roads that is called "dog house junction"
