The body shop tried to rip off the insurance company by inflating the quote. They quote misc parts like "replace all seals" , "all wheels","lights", etc. Also any minor scratch on the car was declared an accident and the part affected needed replacing. As an example the front bumper , scratched a little but it was never changed. In the end the shop lost out and they wrote it off.

Why are you selling it?
Buying a cottage and extra funds would help. We don't need such a new vehicle after all. We ve used our 4runners hard and this beauty doesn't deserve scars at such a young age.
It's a nice looking truck, but something does not add up. A dent in the tailgate would cost a couple hundred bucks at most to fix. In order to be totaled, it would need to have sustained probably $30-$35k in damage. There's no way a body shop inflated a dent in the back to $30k+.
