our first back country adventure 5/26/2011
My wife Amy and daughter Samantha spent 6 days traveling around michigan. Our original idea was to camp, but we decided a long trip like that with a 2 yr. old may be too much. We tried to stay as far away from people as possible for the most part.
This is my first write up, so i hope it isn't too bad.

I would love to explore that area some day. Write up is good and it looks like you had a great time, but due the blog layout I had to scroll way down to find the start of the trip, then scroll up and read down for each section. Not a biggie, but not as smooth reading as a single trip report laid out in one story line. Of course to those that were following along in real time, I am sure the layout was just right.

So internet layout garbage aside, I really liked the way you guys just let the trip flow where it may. Also it was probably a wise choice to find accommodations each night. We have camped with all of our children as infants and toddlers but it's a challenge and at times enough of a challenge to outweigh the enjoyment of the camping, particularly extended trips. Sometimes a clean bed and shower is gold! Happy wife=Happy life.

Hope you get more vacation time soon and post up another trip.
