one thing I love about the fabric very dynamic in the shade compared to the sun :) the Argon fabric is amazing in both colors and feel !
850 GD water resistant fill

Purple outside on both and Burnt Orange inside on the 20 and Brick Red on the 0
looking at the sewn footbox nice and roomy for the feet

lost on the mainland
quick background
I used to hang a lot in the islands but never knew there was proper insulation when we moved to the mainland so gave up on hammocks :)
I hang full time both in and out of the house just because I prefer being outside when I can :)
started using pads in our big agnes in the hamock which work OK but not that comfy for me but my kids love theres
IMHO pads are great and the big agnes bags the best bags for the ground but not for hammocks :)
I have a DD synthetic UQ before this for a short time and still use it inside where its great my issues were of course fit and temp was not as comfy with it to many cold spots etc... and that was just at around 40-50 with temps below 45 I just dont find it works so well for me
but I knew the DD will be great for my kids having backyard outings and so on so for under $100 its fine and again I feel hands on using is the best way to know what works
I always lived in the tropics and slept in hammocks on and off quite a bit in the past but just a blanket was enough

FEEL: the fabric comfort wise is amazing ! even against bare skin where I hate synthetics usually !
LOOKS: sewing and everything is very nice as everyone has said so like all the other reviews its great stuff :) I love how the fabric is very dynamic in the shade compared to the sun :)

I had read all the seutp posts and watched some videos on www.hammockforums.net but of course hands on with the secondary suspension thing it makes much more sense how it works and was a cinch to setup on my 12 foot SLD TL
the whole idea of the secondary makes tons of sense and was a cinch to setup clip on with minimal adj so I did not feel anything seems from reading over adjusting is a common mistake to :)

also got one of there pillows ? going to let the wife try it out for me not to stoked on it could have felt a touch softer and I dont like the center cord I have seen some use two cords main reason I can feel the center cord in the back of my head enough that I notice its there and being a touch firm feeling and its size will be putting it up for sale most likely only two nights with it but both nights the center cord bugged me :) but no biggy its just a pillow so far my fav pillow is my nemo filo with pretty much no air in it

on to the TQ and UQ
so lucky for me we had a cooler weekend got my first night out in 28 degree last night setup it up earlier in the day and took just a few minutes a few times in and out and had someone else get in and checked things out
and did something I would not do below 40 camping I just wore a t-shirt and shorts to see how it would do and WOW impressed my bare arms took maybe 10-20 minutes to warm up but my feet were warmed up within seconds and the whole under side maybe 2 minutes and I was feeling warm sadly tonight is not going to be as cold at only 33 ? but going to go out and try again with my normal cooler weather sleep base which is a heavy set of UA thermals but no socks as I hate hate hate things on my feet might be a island thing ? :) but I do wear them if I have to :(

the top button and draw cord worked great around the neck I do miss the built in head in bags ? but will get used to wearing a hat :) or should say I will have to get used to it

bottom line WOW impressed with everything and any fears I had of fiddle factor of UQ I had read by some to get the no CBS or proper fit were all for nothing and I am sure that is because of the design and suspension and a touch in just reading/understanding how to set it up reading the threads watching videos before I got it so I had a good idea what was in store for me
toasty warm at 28 with a shirt and shorts so my normal below 40 setup will be amazing warm :) maybe to warm :)

my only problem is I am sure once my kids try these I am going to have to buy a set for them also so better start saving some coin for that :)

You won't be disappointed. I've had my HG quilt for several years now. Just as good today as the day it came in the mail. I use it as a top quilt in my tent now since I don't sleep in the hammock anymore. Way better than a bag for me.
