Q - Is there a place to stand on the rack? It would provide a nice view. The rear area behind the solar is a storage deck. There is so much storage in and under the rig that I will likey only use this area occasionally. Yes, we can stand up there and might use it for scouting and photography.

Sounds nice, I wish I could stand and set up a tri-pod on top of my rig.

Very nice! As a kayaker and fellow mountain biker I love the racks. I'm really starting to like the SMB concept but not a fan of the 6.0. Put a Cummins in it and I'm there.

As promised, here are a couple of interior shots. I took them last night and the lighting isn't all that great.

How do you like the mic's hanging in front of your face like that?

I have the CB up top like that.. but was debating putting the HAM there too.. it might be too much.

Socal,

Both of the mic cables are above and more to the center from the driver's viewing position than it shows in the photo. I don't even notice them anymore. I was going to suspend the mic cables back onto the ceiling above, but now that we've had the rig on and off road, I don't think I will.

BTW, congrats on your new rig. You have got to be pretty pleased. It looks like it is in great shape. Have you made any trip plans? Packing it up and getting out there is what it is all about.

It would be great to see your rig someday. Have fun with it!

Sounds good, yeah i don't even notice the CB mic anymore... and its centered in the drivers view. Im just worried my 2 meter will get too hot in the pocket up there.

Yeah we are heading out in 2 weeks just for a 1 or 2 nighter to get used to the rig. We are super happy and thanks for the kind words.. the rig was owned by a retired FF and he took great care of it for sure.
