kcowyo, Thanks! I found a new favorite beer. Its called Barrel 5. I know its from CO, but I'm not sure how big of a company it is. GOOD stuff! :arabia:
Odell's Brewing, up in Ft. Collins. They do about 25,000 barrels a year, not a huge operation but they do OK. Don't think it's available down in AZ, though.

Thats it!
I have 2 beers left... :chowtime:
I'll have to check the website to see if there is a distributer anywhere near.
thanks for the info!!:arabia:

Great Photo Essay!

Tim,

Really enjoyed your post. Very well done. Beautiful scenery and wonderful commentary. I've wanted to travel those passes for a while now. Old truck was just not up for it. New ride should handle it quite well. I'll have to brush up on some of my skills between now and next summer. A couple of sketchy parts there. Thanks again for the post and the inspiration.

LaOutbackTrail, I don't want to crush your hopes, but I'm almost 100% it wont be open. After the first good storm I would not want to be up there! November will be a beautiful time to be there though! I hope to make it up there for a little skiing about then!

Oh I'm 100% sure. But hey, no sense being pessimistic... it won't help anyways. :) And I have a T-shirt to prove it too.

If you're up there about Mid November, send me a PM.

Mc Taco,
Thanks. I really appreciate that. Send me a pm before you go if you want some input.

LaoutbackTrail,
If I'm lucky enough to make it up there I definately will!
Take pics and have fun! I want to see that area covered in snow one way or another!!

AWSOME WRITE UPS!!!!!!!!! YOu did some great trails!!! I love when I go down to that area!!! The more you do Black Bear the easiers it gets.... But I have seen many a very scared person on that trail!! For me the worst part is the narrow entrance to the switchbacks..... where the left side has the washout!!! You did great!

I wish I could have joined you... I was there on the same trail about a month ago (Aug 14-17)

There is so much history in that area I could stay for years and not know it all!!!!

I finally had time check out your trip. Looks like you had a great time and your write up was on par as your others. I can't wait to go back up there. I think next time, I'll plan a trip with 3 trucks max I think so the trails won't take us as long to run so we can see more.

I just checked out your trip. Fantastic! Nice pics and humorous captions. Looks like you had a great time. Someday I want to get up there and run those same trails. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys! I post these up because I like living vicariously through others trip reports and they are my favorite source of info for planning my next one.
Very happy that its enjoyable.

Yes I did. I've never slept so well! The hot springs put you into a coma!
I want to go back and do it on my dirt bike!
