Great trip report. Can't wait to get down there later this week. How were the accomodations at the Ouray KOA?

Oh, man! You hit every one of my favorite places to see. I was there for my annual getaway July 15th-23rd, I'll have to at least put together a small trip reports of a walk I took in the Red Mountain mining district area. I still have to cheat and hire one of the jeep tour companies to take me over the rough stuff, though.....

The KOA was okay. It was like every other KOA I've been too. I got crowded over the weekends but cleared out during the week. We stayed in a Kabin since we knew it would rain everyday, and it was clean and in a nice location under the trees. If you've never been to a KOA I'm not sure how to describe it, if you've been to one then you know. d

Very nice. You covered a lot of ground. I just might have to join up over at offroadpassport.

I miss Ouray.

I would live there, or silverton, if I had the cash to aford it, or job that would let me tele-commute!

Very cool, thanks for sharing. Some really nice photos in there too!
