Thanks guys

Jurfie, I'm still debating on what to do with the bed. Still working out bugs and other issues before I actually commit to anything. I do want to keep the tent low but Im thinking about rising it up some but keeping it so the top of the tent is still lower than the roof line or possible future roof rack. If I knew someone close by who wanted the long bed I'd feel better about removing it to just let it rot in my back yard.

Very cool build... Ive always been partial to the MJs... XJs... and of course my YJ (anything with a square headlight!!!). I liked the little sketch of the bed on page 1 and would shorten the rear for a better departure angle. Exterior storage for quick access to tools/recovery gear etc. like, but not an actual utility bed would be super cool. I have 200 lbs of crap crammed into my 100 lb YJ, I carry way too much stuff.

BajaDent.
Just read your build, it looks like you are prepared for just about anything and do some nice fab work.

Small update while waiting on parts.

Finished patching up the last holes in the floor, driver side hole to clearance the TJ transfer case.

Passenger side floor

The hole I cut to access the top bellhoushing bolt

Grinding off the factory seam sealer? or sound deadener?

Both pieces spot welded in, just need to seal it up, will be in the spring or summer once I'm home and the weather is warmer

Seeing as I'm waiting on parts I decided to tackle the growing to do list

going to do the WJ brake booster/master swap, I will hopefully finish the swap but don't think I'll get to test it before I go to work for the winter but one less thing on the list for the spring

Out with the old

WJ lines with MJ fittings on one end

In with the new. Ignore the ugly clutch line routing, put a new line in when I did the external slave. I have a Novak line to instal but this has been working fine for now.

I may by pass the rear brake proportioning valve while I'm at the brakes and hopefully I ground down the area for the brake switch correctly but the main part of the swap is done for now. I have the fuel tank dropped so it's a good time to remove the rear valve lines.

Sending unit and pump , thankfully it was all working fine and looks in good shape, I did order a new pump with the tank, not sure if I should install the new or out this unit back as is. If it's not broke don't fix it ?

Old tank and the temporary patch

That is it for the winter, I'm gone for work now until the spring, seems the Jeep is parked more than it is driven. Guess that's how projects go, so the Jeep is tucked away for another winter.

Leaving for work, about 3hours to the airport, this guy decided to escort me for 5kms ha

The rack is perfect !!!! I have two Comanche's . One short pioneer , the othe LWB big ton or big tone ! But until I looked here I kept changing directions ! I got it now. Build your rack, small 3-4" lift. 31-33" tires lock the rear... Maybe the front. Cherokee bumper from ARB. Custom in rear ! Custom sliders welded .
The way your rig looks on the first page with RTT looks awesome ! With small lift not much climbing to get in at night !! Looks to have plenty room in back to wire 12volt plugs for enclosed vented fridge space. You just made sense in the first page to me. Not much needed on these as they are great 4wd's to begin with !!

Thank you can't wait to look at more of your thread !!! I'm motivated again !
