Overland Explorer Camp-X

I have a deposit down on a Camp X by Overland Adventure, it's supposed to be completed and at their US dealer in early July. Anyone else considering buying a Camp-X pop up truck camper? I'm not getting a lot of build details from the dealer because these are so new to the market. It will have the Truma for heat and water, Redarc for battery managment and solar. I'm also have the Ezi-awn 270 added. Anything I'm missing to add to my build?

I am very interested to hear more on your camper. Sure looks nice, planning a trip to Bozeman to take a look for ourselves. Good luck!

So no early July, now it's the end of August, unfortunately losing two months of summer use.

Before the Camp-X's turn up their IG page has a completely unknown Camp-M model arriving...

thats still a lot for a midsize truck....

You’re certainly right justbecause.

It sadly seems that, no matter how hard they try, camper owners still have a ridiculously hard time trying to keep their cargo loads within their truck manufacturer’s stated weight limits.

I like this M and would happily put it on my 3/4 ton (but ? it’s not made to fit full sized trucks) but I’d be very hesitant to load it on a 4wd Frontier, Tacoma or Canyon.

Great looking rig, 6thElement. I was looking at these at Big Sky RV here in Bozeman today. Great fit and finish and come a long way since the prototypes. Please share more details on your experiences with good and bad.

Saw that someone linked to Big Sky RV's CampM video above but not the CampX so here is that one...

Looks like a lot of space between top of cab and bottom of cab over.
Yeah I completely agree, their earlier version on the F150 looked fine as far as that goes, but these new ones are way too tall. The ones for sale at Big Sky RV now have an added rack underneath the cabover that would make it look a little better and get some use from that space, but I'd prefer the cabover as low as possible.
